Bridging the Gap Between the Past and Future of Healthcare- Values

We can no longer ignore the current approach to health care. There is a catastrophic mismatch between the most common health problems we face as a society and the available "solutions" the medical system offers. We are changing that. It is your responsibility to change your health, and you have the ability.

In today's world, instant gratification and treatments masquerade as solutions to your health problems. Overweight? Take this medication to address the symptoms. Have an injury? Go to the chiropractor to get fixed or wear a brace to provide artificial stability. This model’s issue is that we apply bandages to address an unhealthy population’s symptoms rather than getting to the root cause.

Regarding obesity and being overweight, have you been taught how to shop for healthier foods, read nutrition labels, and cook more nutritious meals that taste good? Have you been taught to eat in a way that considers hormonal factors?

Regarding your injury, have you been taught how to strengthen your body first? Do you know how to move correctly to avoid injury? Were you taught how to do exercises at home with minimal equipment in case of a global pandemic? (That would have sounded ridiculous just a year ago🙃) These habits are what enable sustainable long-term health.

Whether unhappy, anxious, stressed, overweight, immobile, or lethargic, these conditions are traditionally treated as if they exist in isolation. What we have found, though, is these are symptoms of a more global issue that stems from imbalances in lifestyle. When left untreated, these lead to many of the most common diseases people face. 

Bridging the gap means understanding that these issues need to be addressed holistically, getting to the root cause, and tackling it from there. To us, at Whealth, that means dialing in your movement, nutritional, mental, restorative, and environmental health. We find that solution through education, empowerment, and ownership through application in life. The journey begins with the Whealth Foundations course.
